Award-winning
photographer David Cavagnaro presents selections from 35 years of
internationally recognized color photography from America's gardens,
farms, and ranches to celebrate the release of the new book from the
Center for Sustainable Environments, Renewing America's
Food Traditions: Bringing cultural and culinary mainstays from the
past into the new millennium. Dr. Gary Nabhan, the Center's
Director,
will introduce the Renewing America’s Food Traditions project and
the first ever Redlist of America’s Endangered Foods. Copies of the
book will be on sale after the presentation.
David Cavagnaro is an author of 5 books and his photographs have
been featured in 85 magazines, including the covers of
Audubon, Organic Gardening, and Fine Gardening
over four decades. A farmer,
author, scientist, and former garden manager for the Seed Savers
Exchange, Mr. Cavagnaro has created a definitive collection of
heirloom flower and vegetable photos. His brilliant photos grace the
cover of the landmark publication from the national RAFT campaign.
