Green Acres, Green Living

Monday, April 18
7:00 p.m. in Liberal Arts (Bldg. 18), Room 135

Join John Ivanko and his wife, Lisa Kivirist, as they give a photo-illustrated presentation about their journey back to the land as they endeavor to live a more self-reliant, entrepreneurial, sustainable, and fossil-fuel-free life in a living economy.

Lisa and John are innkeepers, organic growers, copartners in a marketing consulting company and have previously published books. John is also an award-winning photographer, contributing to national and international publications including Wisconsin Trails, E Magazine, Islands, Parade and Scottish Life.

Former advertising agency fast-trackers, they are nationally recognized for their contemporary approach to home-steading, conservation and more sustainable living. Powered by the wind and sun, Inn Serendipity B&B and organic farm is both the home for and the setting for their book, Rural Renaissance: Renewing the Quest for the Good Life. They share their organic farm with their son, two llamas, a flock of free-range chickens, and millions of ladybugs. More information can be found at www.ruralrenaissance.org/.
